Description
2022 Château Dauzac Grand Cru Classé
is a refined Bordeaux red from the Margaux appellation, produced by Pierre Montagnac Sarl. This wine is a blend of 68% Cabernet Sauvignon and 32% Merlot, sourced from the estate's 111 hectares of vineyards planted on deep gravel soils. The 2022 vintage is characterized by its balance of power and elegance. It offers a bouquet of ripe red fruits, complemented by subtle floral and spicy notes. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with velvety tannins and a long, harmonious finish. Aged for 15 months in French oak barrels, with 75% new wood, and in amphorae, this wine is vegan-certified and showcases the estate's commitment to quality and sustainability. Ideal pairings include grilled red meats, roasted duck, or a capon in sauce, which complement the wine's structure and depth. Château Dauzac, a Fifth Growth estate in the 1855 Bordeaux classification, is dedicated to producing wines that express the unique terroir of Margaux. Under the stewardship of the Roulleau family, the estate continues to uphold its reputation for excellence in winemaking.
