Querciabella is a Tuscan dream of France. Querciabella’s origin and raison d’être lie with its founder, Giuseppe Castiglioni, a Milanese industrialist with a legendary and scandalously Burgundian cellar. The standard (and mostly correct) narrative of the origin of the Super-Tuscans is all about Bordeaux varieties, and non-native varietal Bordeaux inspired wines, but Querciabella is one of the most legendary producers of the era.
