Description
The Mocali estate is situated to the southwest of Montalcino at an altitude of 350 above sea level. The estate was acquired by Mister Ciacci Dino in 1956. The company covers about 43 hectares, of which, 16 are vineyards. 80% Sangiovese, 20% Canaiolo. Aged for 10 months in stainless steel tanks. A burst of red fruit on the nose, like putting your nose in a basket of berries with a hint of spice in the background. Ruby robe. The palate is bright, and the wine tells you right away that it was meant to be drank young, it is vibrant and energetic with nice acidity and a round, fruit filled palate. The finish isn’t coarse, or tannic, but it has a touch of the rusticity of the region, only adding to its charms.
