Description
A blend of the two greatest indigenous Calabrian red grapes: Greco Nero and the rare and excellent Gaglioppo, along with Calabrese, known to Sicilians as Nero d’Avola. Aged for a year in stainless steel tanks and then two more years in chestnut barrels. Notes of rose, black cherries, and a hint of jamminess. Ruby robe with hints of garnet. Palate is warm and round.
