- Supplier: Sant Elena estate lies on the high flatlands of Isonzo, in the heart of the Isonzo D.O.C. zone and was founded in the late 19th Century. The winery aims to promote the potential of the production zone and to bring out the characteristics of the region, climate, grape variety, rootstock, pruning systems and planting density. Sant Elena continues to offer a limited range of wines to ensure top quality.

- Vinification: After the harvest, the grapes are destemmed and crushed before undergoing maceration for ten days. The wine must complete alcohol fermentation in stainless steel vats and is then racked into 20 hectolitre wooden barrels, where it will age for eight months.
- Pairing Recommendations: This Merlot was conceived with the aim of making a serious yet flavorsome, instantly approachable wine. It is a full-bodied yet easy-drinking Merlot that accompanies meats of all kinds, as well as fat-rich fish or eel. Serve in a broad-rimmed red wine glass at a temperature of 16°C.
